    SEE ALSO...

PITHD1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects PITHD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PITHD1 (A-10) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. PITHD1 protein, also known as PITH (C-terminal proteasome-interacting domain of thioredoxin-like) domain containing 1, HT014, TXNL1CL, or C1orf128, is a 211 amino acid nuclear protein characterized by the presence of a single PITH domain. PITHD1 plays a crucial role in megakaryocytic differentiation and enhances the expression of RUNX1, a key transcription factor involved in hematopoiesis. PITHD1 regulates RUNX1 expression through two mechanisms: by increasing the transcriptional activity of its proximal promoter and by enhancing the translational activity of an internal ribosome entry site (IRES) element. Altered expression of PITHD1 has been linked to the development of leukemia, with significant downregulation observed in leukemic samples, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for this disease. PITHD1 is located on chromosome 1 and exhibits conservation across a wide range of species, including chimpanzees, Rhesus monkeys, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, zebrafish, fruit flies, mosquitoes, Caenorhabditis elegans, Schizosaccharomyces pombe, Magnaporthe oryzae, Neurospora crassa, Arabidopsis thaliana, rice, and frogs, underscoring its evolutionary significance.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515392 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
