    SEE ALSO...

PIPK II Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects PIPK II protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PIPK II antibody (D-3) is available as the non-conjugated form. PIPK II plays a crucial role in synthesizing phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate, a lipid vital for various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, survival, membrane trafficking, and cytoskeletal organization. PIPK II is predominantly located in the brain, where PIPK II contributes to neuronal signaling and synaptic function, highlighting PIPK II′s importance in neurobiology and potential implications in neurological disorders. The PIPK family is classified into three types, with type II PIPKs, including PIPK II α and β, being particularly significant due to their high expression levels in the central nervous system. PIPK II contains an activation loop that determines enzymatic specificity and subcellular targeting, making PIPK II essential for precise cellular signaling. By regulating phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate production, PIPK II serves as a key messenger in signal transduction pathways, underscoring PIPK II′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to extracellular signals.
