PI 3-kinase C2γ Antibody (3D8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PI 3-kinase C2 gamma of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PI 3-kinase C2 gamma antibody (3D8) is available as a non-conjugated format. PI 3-kinase C2 gamma plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in linking G protein-coupled receptor activation to phosphoinositide second messenger production, which are vital for various cellular responses. PI 3-kinase C2 gamma is primarily located in the cytoplasm and regulates cellular processes such as growth, survival, and metabolism. PI 3-kinase C2 gamma′s ability to generate phosphoinositides in response to receptor activation is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating communication between cells. PI 3-kinase C2 gamma produces a 1,050-amino acid polypeptide that shares 36% identity with PI 3-kinase C2α, highlighting evolutionary significance. Research has shown that PI 3-kinase C2 gamma can inhibit human colon cancer cell proliferation, suggesting potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.
