PHF1 Antibody (SK-J6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PHF1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHF1, also known as polycomb-like protein 1 or hPCI1, is a 567 amino acid member of the PHD finger protein family, which plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation by modulating chromatin structure. Anti-PHF1 antibody (SK-J6) targets a protein predominantly localized in the nucleus and widely expressed across various tissues, exhibiting high levels in the pancreas, heart, and skeletal muscle, while showing lower expression in the liver, lung, kidney, brain, and placenta. The presence of two PHD-type zinc finger domains within PHF1 is significant as these domains are believed to enhance transcriptional activity, thereby influencing gene expression. PHF1 interacts with ENX-1, a key component of the polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), which is essential for gene silencing. This interaction underscores PHF1′s importance in epigenetic regulation and cellular differentiation. PHF1 exists in two isoforms generated by alternative splicing, which may have distinct functional roles in cellular processes.
