QUICK LINKS

PGD2(Prostaglandin D2) is a bioactive lipid compound that is researched in the context of inflammatory and allergic responses. It is a product of the cyclooxygenase pathway, synthesized primarily by mast cells. In research, PGD2 is studied for its involvement in the modulation of inflammation, where it interacts with specific receptors, namely DP1 and DP2/CRTH2, to exert its biological effects. Research on PGD2 also encompasses its role in sleep-wake regulation, as it is a major prostaglandin produced in the brain that can influence sleep patterns. Additionally, studies investigate the contribution of PGD2 to the pathophysiology of conditions such as asthma and allergic rhinitis, as well as its potential involvement in the resolution of inflammation.

Hi, whether i can use PGD2 (Prostaglandin D2) as a control protein for PGD2 synthase antibody.

Asked by: k samy
Thank you for your inquiry. Our PGD2 (Prostaglandin D2) sc-201221 has not been validated for that application. Recombinant or purified PGD2 synthase would be the best positive control.
