Peregrin Antibody (2093C5a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Peregrin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Peregrin antibody (2093C5a) is available as a non-conjugated format. Peregrin protein, also known as BRPF1 or BR140, is a 1214 amino acid bromodomain and PHD finger-containing protein that plays a crucial role in gene regulation. Peregrin (2093C5a) antibody recognizes a protein primarily localized in the nucleus and expressed ubiquitously, with highest levels found in testis and spermatogonia. As a zinc-finger protein, Peregrin functions as a transcriptional activator, facilitating expression of target genes. Peregrin′s structure includes a C-terminal PWWP domain, which indicates potential DNA-binding activity, and similarity to transcriptional coactivators such as TAF II p250 further supports this role. Notably, Peregrin gene has been implicated in myeloid leukemia, suggesting disruptions in function may contribute to carcinogenesis. Alternative splicing of Peregrin gene results in production of two isoforms, which may have distinct regulatory functions.
