Pepsin 1:10000 is a proteolytic enzyme found in the digestive system. Non-specific background staining in bronchial tissue can be reduced after Pepsin 1:10000 digestion. It is used to prepare antibody Fab fragments, for example, the F(ab)2 fragment from IgG. Pepsin 1:10000, in conjunction with other enzymes, can show the effects of fixation and enzymatic digestion during immunohistochemical assaying.
