PDZ-RhoGEF Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PDZ-RhoGEF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PDZ-RhoGEF (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDZ-RhoGEF protein, also known as Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 11 or ARHGEF11, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor that facilitates GDP for GTP exchange on Rho GTPases, particularly Rho A. This exchange is vital for regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics and cell morphology, which are essential for processes such as cell migration and axon guidance. PDZ-RhoGEF′s unique ability to bind both nucleotide-free and activated Rho A positions PDZ-RhoGEF as a primary regulator of Rho A activity, influencing various downstream signaling pathways. Notably, mutations in PDZ-RhoGEF′s carboxylate-binding loop can disrupt PDZ-RhoGEF function, leading to altered cell morphology and actin organization, likely due to interaction with MAP-1A (MAP1 light chain LC2). PDZ-RhoGEF′s significance in mediating B plexin-induced activation of Rho/Rho kinase signaling further underscores PDZ-RhoGEF′s importance in developmental processes and cellular responses.
