PDE8A Antibody (1H6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PDE8A protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PDE8A antibody (1H6) is available as a non-conjugated format. PDE8A plays a crucial role in regulating intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), a second messenger vital for various cellular processes, including signal transduction, cell proliferation, and differentiation. By hydrolyzing cAMP to 5′AMP, PDE8A helps maintain appropriate cAMP levels, which is essential for normal physiological functions and cellular responses. Dysregulation of PDE8A activity has been implicated in several diseases, including cardiovascular disorders and neurological conditions, making PDE8A a significant target for therapeutic intervention. PDE8A is expressed in a diverse range of human tissues, including testis, ovary, small intestine, and colon, highlighting PDE8A′s importance in both reproductive and digestive systems. Additionally, PDE8A shares a high degree of sequence identity with PDE8B, which is predominantly found in the thyroid gland, suggesting potential functional similarities and interactions between these two phosphodiesterases.
