QUICK LINKS

PCO 400 is an analog of comakalim and a selective and potent ATP-sensitive K+ channel opener. It has been shown to evoke relaxation of isolated airway smooth muscle in a dose-dependent manner. Upon intravenous injection, transient inhibition of histamine-induced bronchospasm was effected. Inhaled as a dry powder, it can suppress the development of allergic airway hyperreactivity to histamine.
