    SEE ALSO...

PCDHGA2 Antibody (1A9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PCDHGA2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PCDHGA2 antibody (1A9) is available as the non-conjugated format. Protocadherins, including PCDHGA2, play a crucial role in the establishment and maintenance of neuronal connections, which is vital for proper brain function and communication between neurons. PCDHGA2, a member of the protocadherin gamma subfamily A, is a 932 amino acid type I transmembrane protein that contains six cadherin motifs. Expression is primarily localized to synapses within the central nervous system, where PCDHGA2 is essential for neuronal survival and synaptic stability. The unique structure of PCDHGA2 allows for mediating cell-cell adhesion, which is critical for the formation of complex neural networks. By facilitating these connections, PCDHGA2 contributes to the overall architecture and functionality of the nervous system, making PCDHGA2 a significant target for research in neurobiology and related fields.
