PCDHB10 Antibody (RR-K6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PCDHB10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PCDHB10 antibody (RR-K6) is available as a non-conjugated format. Protocadherins, including PCDHB10, play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining neuronal connections in the brain, which is vital for proper neural function and communication. PCDHB10, also known as protocadherin β10, is an 800 amino acid protein that belongs to the protocadherin β cluster, consisting of 16 proteins. Unlike the α and γ clusters, the β cluster genes, including PCDHB10, do not utilize constant-region exons during transcription, resulting in unique mRNA products that encode the transmembrane, extracellular, and short cytoplasmic domains. This unique structure allows PCDHB10 to function effectively as a single-pass type I membrane protein, characterized by six cadherin domains, which are essential for mediating cell-cell adhesion and signaling processes.
