    SEE ALSO...

PC-TP Antibody (LB-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PC-TP protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PC-TP antibody (LB-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. PC-TP protein, also known as StARD2, plays a crucial role in phosphatidylcholine (PC) transport between cellular membranes, which is essential for maintaining membrane integrity and fluidity. PC-TP (LB-6) monoclonal antibody targets a protein primarily located in the cytosol and highly expressed in tissues such as liver, placenta, testis, kidney, and heart, while exhibiting lower levels in brain and lung. PC-TP′s ability to facilitate intermembrane transfer of phospholipids is vital for various cellular processes, including lipid metabolism and signaling pathways. Studies involving Pctp knockout mice have shown that PC-TP absence does not significantly affect PC secretion into bile or lung surfactant, suggesting other mechanisms may compensate for these processes. PC-TP (LB-6) antibody recognizes a protein encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 17q21-q24, highlighting genetic significance. With specific reactivity and versatile applications, anti-PC-TP antibody (LB-6) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying lipid transport and metabolism in human tissues.
