PARD3A Antibody (4G5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PARD3A protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PARD3A antibody (4G5) is available as a non-conjugated format. PARD3A protein, also known as partitioning-defective 3, Baz, or ASIP, is a crucial component in maintaining cellular asymmetry, which is vital for proper development of multicellular organisms. This 1,356 amino acid protein features three PDZ domains and is part of the PAR3 family, playing a significant role in asymmetric cell division and polarized growth. PARD3A is predominantly expressed in various tissues and colocalizes with PARD6A/B and protein kinase C ι at epithelial tight junctions, functioning as an adapter protein essential for normal tight junction formation at epithelial cell-cell contacts. PARD3A undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in at least ten isoforms, including isoform A, isoform B, isoform C, isoform D, isoform E, isoform F, isoform Lb, isoform Sa, isoform Sb, and isoform 10, each potentially contributing to diverse cellular functions and regulatory mechanisms.
