- Flexible, thermoplastic, waterproof, moisture-free film that adheres quickly and firmly onto itself, Parafilm® M Laboratory Sealing Film is suitable for effectively sealing various labware items.
- Parafilm® M Laboratory Sealing Film has excellent resistance to air, other gases, alcohol, common acids, and moderately concentrated alkalies.
- Without rupturing, Parafilm® M Laboratory Sealing Film may be folded and twisted around a sharp surface.
- At 21° C (70° F), Parafilm® M Laboratory Sealing Film can stretch up to 200% and return partially to its original size while at 82° to 93° C (180° to 200° F), it softens enough to make an adhesive bond between papers, cloths, leathers, and other soft materials.
- Parafilm® M Laboratory Sealing Film is 0.127 mm thick, 4 inches wide and 125 feet long, and supplied in a dispenser carton interwound with paper to prevent self-adhering.

Parafilm®'s tight seal prevents moisture and volume loss, and does not release due off-gassing vapors from chemical reactions.
