    SEE ALSO...

Pannexin-2 Antibody (2B11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pannexin-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Pannexin-2 antibody (2B11) is available as a non-conjugated format. Pannexin-2 plays a crucial role in cellular communication and is primarily located in the central nervous system, where Pannexin-2 contributes to forming heteromeric channels with Pannexin-1, facilitating ion and small molecule passage between cells. This function maintains homeostasis and coordinates responses to physiological stimuli in neural tissues. Pannexin-2 forms heteromeric channels rather than homomeric ones, highlighting unique structural properties and functional significance in gap junction communication. Conservation of Pannexin proteins across invertebrates and mammals underscores evolutionary importance in intercellular signaling. Research on Pannexin-2 can provide insights into various neurological conditions and potential therapeutic targets.
