QUICK LINKS

PACOCF3 (PTK) is an analog of palmitic acid in which the COOH group is replaced by trifluoromethyl ketone. PACOCF3 is an inhibitor of both Ca2+-dependent cytosolic cPLA2 (IC50=45 muM) and Ca2+-independent group VI iPLA2 (phospholipases A2 iPLA2, IC50=3.8 muM). This compound may act to also alter Ca2+ signaling in renal tubular cells.
