p-ErbB-4 Antibody (4C6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ErbB-4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. anti-p-ErbB-4 antibody (4C6) specifically recognizes the phosphorylated form of ErbB-4, a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family, which plays a crucial role in cell signaling pathways that regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. ErbB-4 is primarily located on the cell membrane, where forming homodimers or heterodimers with other members of the receptor family upon ligand binding leads to the activation of downstream signaling cascades. This localization allows ErbB-4 to interact with various ligands, including heregulin, which promotes proteolytic cleavage and ectodomain release. These fragments can then engage in autocrine or paracrine signaling, influencing cellular responses in tissues such as breast carcinoma, skeletal muscle, heart, pituitary, brain, and cerebellum. Post-translational modifications of ErbB-4, particularly tyrosine phosphorylation, enhance catalytic activity and are essential for mediating cellular responses to growth factors, making p-ErbB-4 (4C6) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for studying receptor dynamics in various biological contexts.
