SEE ALSO...

p-Adenovirus-2 E1A Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Adenovirus-2 E1A by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Adenovirus-2 E1A antibody (C-9) plays a crucial role in studying the early region 1A (E1A) of the adenovirus genome, which is essential for understanding its transforming activity. Adenovirus-2 E1A (C-9) monoclonal antibody functions primarily as a tool for detecting E1A protein, which acts as a transcriptional regulator, influencing DNA synthesis and promoting cell transformation, significant in viral oncogenesis. Located in the nucleus, E1A interacts with various cellular proteins, including tumor suppressor p105/Rb-1 and cyclin A, to modulate cell cycle progression and transcriptional activity. E1A proteins undergo post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation at key serine residues, which can impact their function and interactions. Phosphorylation at Ser 89 and Ser 219 is critical for E1A′s transforming activity, with Ser 89 phosphorylation influencing the transformation of primary rat kidney cells. Anti-Adenovirus-2 E1A antibody (C-9) detection of these modifications makes this reagent invaluable for researchers investigating molecular mechanisms of adenoviral transformation and implications in cancer biology.
