Ozagrel, an antithrombic drug, is a potent and selective thromboxane A2 inhibitor highly active in human platelets. Found to induce apoptosis in T24 and TCC-SUP bladder cancer cells. Ozagrel improved locomotor activity and coordination in ischemia-reperfusion injured mice models and has potential therapeutic usage for stroke. Reported to inhibit pulmonary thromboxane B2 delivery blocking the increase in systemic vascular resistance. Also shown to inhibit phenolase activities of mushroom tyrosinase.
