QUICK LINKS

A metabolite of the fluorinated quinolone anti-bacterial Ciprofloxacin. Oxociprofloxacin is a derivative of the fluoroquinolone antibiotic ciprofloxacin. It is formed through the oxidation of ciprofloxacin, resulting in the conversion of one of its piperazinyl substituents to a ketone group. Oxociprofloxacin exhibits similar antimicrobial activity to ciprofloxacin and is effective against a broad range of bacterial infections.
