SEE ALSO...

NT-4 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NT-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NT-4 Antibody (C-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NT-4 protein plays a crucial role in the nervous system by promoting the survival and differentiation of specific neuronal populations, particularly during development. NT-4 is part of the neurotrophin family, which includes nerve growth factor (NGF), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). These neurotrophins interact with specific receptors on the surface of neurons, such as Trk A, Trk B, and Trk C receptors, to mediate their effects. NT-4′s ability to bind to Trk B receptor, which is also responsive to BDNF, highlights NT-4′s significance in neuronal health and plasticity. Understanding NT-4 interactions and functions is essential for elucidating mechanisms underlying neuronal survival and potential therapeutic applications in neurodegenerative diseases.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365444 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
