NPEC-caged-(S)-3,4-DCPG is (S)-3,4-DCPG (sc-204255) caged with photosensitive 1-(2-nitrophenyl)ethoxycarbonyl group. (S)-3,4-DCPG (sc-204255) is a potent, selective mGluR-8a agonist (EC50 = 31 nM). Displays > 100-fold selectivity over mGlu1-7 and displays little/no activity at NMDA and kainate receptors.
