    SEE ALSO...

Nop5p/Nop56p Antibody (37C12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Nop5p/Nop56p of Saccharomyces cerevisiae origin by immunoprecipitation (IP) and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Nop5p/Nop56p antibody (37C12) is available as the non-conjugated format. Nop5p/Nop56p (37C12) antibody recognizes a protein crucial in ribosomal biogenesis, specifically in early pre-rRNA processing, where Nop5p/Nop56p collaborates with Nop1p to facilitate 18S rRNA formation. This function ensures proper ribosome assembly, essential for protein synthesis in all living cells. Nop5p/Nop56p′s interaction with Nop1p maintains cellular function and viability, as defects in ribosomal biogenesis can lead to severe cellular dysfunction and disease. Nop5p/Nop56p also functions within box C/D small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein complexes, responsible for site-specific 2′-O-methylation of pre-rRNA, a critical modification for ribosomal RNA maturation. Anti-Nop5p/Nop56p antibody (37C12) effectively targets these proteins, making this reagent invaluable for researchers studying ribosome assembly and function in yeast.
