NNP-1B Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NNP-1B protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NNP-1B (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NNP-1B protein, also known as novel nuclear protein 1B or RRP1-like protein B (Rrp1b) in mouse and rat, consists of 758 amino acids and belongs to the RRP1 family. NNP-1B protein is primarily localized in the nucleolus, where NNP-1B protein plays a crucial role in ribosome biogenesis, particularly in the late processing steps of 28S rRNA generation. NNP-1B protein is expressed as two isoforms due to alternative splicing and exhibits a high degree of homology with NNP-1 family member, sharing 80% similarity in the N-terminus while displaying a divergent C-terminus. The assembly of nucleolar proteins, including NNP-1B protein, occurs in a specific sequence at the end of mitosis, highlighting NNP-1B protein′s importance in the structural integrity and function of the nucleolus. Understanding NNP-1B protein′s role in ribosome biogenesis is vital, as NNP-1B protein is essential for proper synthesis of ribosomal RNA, which is fundamental for protein translation and cellular function.
