NNGH is a cell-permeable and potent inhibitor of MMP-3. Alternate names include MMP-3 Inhibitor II and N-Isobutyl-N-(4-methoxyphenylsufonyl)-glycylhydroxamic Acid. NNGH may also demonstrate inhibition of MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-12 (metalloelastase), MMP-13, MT-MMP-1 (MMP-14), and MMP-20.
