NK Cell Marker Antibody (ANK61) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects NK Cell Marker protein of mouse and rat origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). NK Cell Marker (ANK61) antibody is available as non-conjugated anti-NK Cell Marker antibody. Natural killer (NK) cells, which are large granular lymphocytes derived from bone marrow, play a crucial role in the innate immune system by identifying and eliminating infected or transformed cells. These cells are particularly important in early defense against viral infections, such as herpes, as NK cells can recognize and destroy cells compromised by pathogens. NK Cell Marker protein is essential for identification and characterization of immune cells, helping distinguish NK cells from other lymphocyte populations. Additionally, NK cells are equipped with specialized proteins, including perforin and granzymes, which facilitate cytotoxic function. Perforin forms pores in membranes of target cells, allowing granzymes to enter and induce apoptosis, thereby preventing infection spread. Understanding NK cell function and mechanisms is vital for developing immunotherapies and enhancing immune responses against various diseases.
