Nisoldipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. Being a lipophilic compound, it possesses the ability to easily traverse cell membranes, enabling its utilization in a wide array of scientific applications. The mechanism of action of Nisoldipine involves its binding to the L-type calcium channels situated on the cell membrane. This interaction effectively impedes the entry of calcium ions into the cell, consequently diminishing the activity of calcium-dependent enzymes and proteins that participate in cellular growth and development.
