NF-YC Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects NF-YC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NF-YC antibody (G-12) is available as a non-conjugated format. NF-YC protein plays a crucial role in gene regulation as a component of the CCAAT-binding factor NF-Y, which is a heteromeric transcription factor essential for binding to CCAAT sequences found in promoter regions of many eukaryotic genes. NF-Y complex is composed of three subunits: NF-YA, NF-YB, and NF-YC, all necessary for effective DNA binding. Structural integrity of these subunits is vital, as they contain conserved segments homologous to the histone-fold motif, critical for NF-Y-DNA complex formation.
