netrin G2 Antibody (Y-18L) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects netrin G2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-netrin G2 antibody (Y-18L) is available as a non-conjugated format. Netrin G2, also known as Laminet-2 or NTNG2, plays a crucial role in the development of the nervous system, particularly in axon guidance and synaptic formation. Netrin G2 is predominantly located in the cortex and hippocampus, where netrin G2 is essential for establishing and maintaining neural connections. Netrin G2 is unique among the netrin family due to its glycosyl phosphatidylinositol membrane anchor, which allows selective interaction with specific proteins, such as LRRC4, potentially mediating cell adhesion processes. Alterations in netrin G2 expression have been linked to various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia, highlighting netrin G2′s significance in both normal brain function and disease. Netrin G2 has been identified as significantly downregulated in bladder transitional cell carcinoma, suggesting a potential role as a tumor suppressor gene.
