Nε-(1-Carboxymethyl)-L-lysine is used to study the impact of glycation on protein-protein interactions and cellular signaling pathways. It is involved in regulating the MAPK cellular signaling pathways. Nε-(1-Carboxymethyl)-L-lysine is an advanced glycation end product (AGE),a product from oxidative modification of glycated proteins under conditions of oxidative stress. Notably, Nε-(1-Carboxymethyl)-L-lysine activates the membrane-bound receptor for AGEs (RAGE), thereby initiating signaling cascades involving MAPKs and NF-κB. Intriguingly, shortening of RAGE leads to the generation of a soluble protein that binds to Nε-(1-Carboxymethyl)-L-lysine, subsequently reducing its signaling effects.

Is it possible to reconstitute just a portion of CML at a time or is it recommended to reconstitute the entire vial at once? Additionally, is it possible to reconstitute CML in PBS and store aliquots at -20C for a short period of time? Thank you.

Thank you for your question . It is possible but it will likely not be stable after short period of time as it will recommended to be stored under inert gas (argon) and protect from moisture.

I want to ask about the storage temperature of Nε-(1-Carboxymethyl)-L-lysine (CAS 5746-04-3) , can I storage at -80C? and how long can I keep the standard (the expired date after it is opened) thank you for your attention

We recommend storing at -20C, we are not able to find any data on storage at -80C. All of our products are warrantied for one year from the date purchased. If a CoA with an expiration date is needed, please inquire with Technical Service and one will be provided to you. Please note that all CoAs are lot-specific.
