SEE ALSO...

NCAM2 Antibody (44) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NCAM2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-NCAM2 antibody (44) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). NCAM2, also known as neural cell adhesion molecule 2, is an 837 amino acid glycoprotein encoded by the human gene NCAM2, which plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling during neural development. NCAM2 features five immunoglobulin-like domains and two fibronectin type III domains, which are essential for structural integrity and function in mediating cell-cell interactions. NCAM2 expression is particularly prominent in the adult and fetal brain, highlighting NCAM2′s importance in neurodevelopmental processes. NCAM2 is implicated in various neurological conditions, including certain phenotypes associated with Down syndrome, as NCAM2 overexpression can significantly enhance the adhesion properties of neural cells. Additionally, regulation of NCAM2 by Stat5, which binds to NCAM2 intron in response to cytokine signaling, underscores NCAM2′s involvement in immune responses and potential impact on neural cell behavior.

Are there any issues with using sc-136328: NCAM2 (44) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-136328 conjugates.
