NCAM/CD56抗体(ERIC 1)是一种IgG1 κ小鼠单克隆NCAM抗体，可通过WB、IP、IF、IHC(P)和FCM检测人源性NCAM。NCAM/CD56抗体(ERIC 1)有偶联和非偶联的抗NCAM抗体形式。神经细胞黏附分子(Neural cell adhesion molecules, NCAMs)是一类与细胞表面糖蛋白密切相关的家族，参与生长过程中细胞与细胞之间的相互作用，被认为在胚胎形成和发育中发挥重要作用。这些分子在胚胎发育过程中广泛表达于三个胚层，但在成体组织中表达较为受限。NCAM在神经母细胞瘤、横纹肌肉瘤、肾母细胞瘤、尤文肉瘤和一些原始髓系恶性肿瘤中均有表达。据报道，在小鼠和人类脑组织中都存在多种NCAM亚型。在人类中，NCAMs产生于11q23单基因定位的差异剪接和选择性多聚腺苷酸化位点的使用。

Hi, I would like to know the epitope that was used to produce the sc-106 antibody. Is it extracellular or intracellular domain of NCAM? Thank you

Thank you for your question. The exact epitope recognized by this mouse monoclonal antibody has not yet been determined. This monoclonal antibody was raised against CD56 positive cells of human origin. It has been reported that this clone recognizes and extracellular epitope of human NCAM.
