NANP Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NANP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NANP (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. NANP protein, also known as N-acylneuraminate-9-phosphatase or HDHD4, is a 248 amino acid enzyme that plays a crucial role in sialic acid metabolism by dephosphorylating Neu5Ac-9-phosphate to produce N-acetylneuraminate, the predominant form of sialic acid in vertebrates.
