    SEE ALSO...

Na+/K+-ATPase α1 Antibody (M8-P1-A3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody designed to target the Na+/K+-ATPase α1 subunit, also known as ATP1A1 or the sodium-potassium pump. Na+/K+-ATPase α1 monoclonal antibody (M8-P1-A3) is raised against the ovine Na+/K+-ATPase α1 protein and demonstrates broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing the α1 subunits from mouse, rat, human, ovine, porcine, and canine origins in western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications, while not cross-reacting with the α1 isoform in Xenopus or chicken, nor with the α2 or α3 isoforms in rat. The Na+/K+-ATPase α1 subunit is a crucial component of the P-type ATPase family, embedded in the plasma membrane with multiple transmembrane domains that facilitate the active transport of three sodium ions out of the cell and two potassium ions into the cell, thereby maintaining essential electrochemical gradients. Structurally, the α1 subunit forms the catalytic core of the enzyme, housing the binding sites for ATP and the transported ions, and assembles with β and γ subunits to create a stable oligomeric complex. Post-translational modifications, such as glycosylation of the β subunit, are vital for the proper folding, stability, and membrane localization of the α1 subunit, while phosphorylation events can regulate the enzyme′s activity and interactions. Anti-Na+/K+-ATPase α1 antibody (M8-P1-A3) is an essential tool for researchers studying ion transport mechanisms, cellular volume regulation, and the molecular underpinnings of related physiological processes, providing reliable detection across multiple species and experimental platforms.
