    SEE ALSO...

Na+ CP type IXα Antibody (5A11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects the Na+ CP type IX alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Na+ CP type IXα (5A11) antibody is available as a non-conjugated anti-Na+ CP type IX alpha antibody. The Na+ CP type IXα protein, also known as SCN9A, NENA, PN1, Nav1.7, or ETHA, is a crucial component of the voltage-gated sodium channel family, consisting of 1,988 amino acids and functioning as a multi-pass membrane protein. Na+ CP type IXα is primarily located in the dorsal root ganglion, smooth muscle cells, and both the central and peripheral nervous systems, where Na+ CP type IXα plays a vital role in mediating voltage-dependent sodium ion permeability across cellular membranes. Na+ CP type IXα forms a sodium-selective ion channel essential for the propagation of action potentials in excitable cells, allowing for rapid influx of sodium ions that leads to cell depolarization. Na+ CP type IXα is implicated in the inflammatory pain response, and mutations in the gene encoding Na+ CP type IXα can result in severe genetic pain disorders such as primary erythermalgia, congenital indifference to pain, and paroxysmal extreme pain disorder (PEPD). Anti-Na+ CP type IXα antibody (5A11) provides researchers with a valuable tool for studying the physiological and pathological roles of this critical protein in pain signaling and related conditions.
