QUICK LINKS

N-Methyl-N-phenylcarbamoyl chloride (NMPC) is an organic compound in the synthesis of agrochemicals and dyes, as well as in the production of polymers, rubber, and other materials. N-Methyl-N-phenylcarbamoyl chloride is used for creating peptides, nucleotides, and other biomolecules. N-Methyl-N-phenylcarbamoyl chloride acts as a catalyst in the reaction between methyl chloride and phenyl isocyanate. The reaction is carried out in an inert atmosphere at a temperature of -20°C to -5°C and the product is isolated by distillation.
