N-Acetyl-L-tryptophan is an inhibitor of NK-1R. N-Acetyl-L-tryptophan is a compound derived from tryptophan, an amino acid present in various foods and known as a precursor to serotonin. In scientific research, N-Acetyl-L-tryptophan has been employed to investigate serotonin′s involvement in diverse biochemical and physiological functions. As a serotonin agonist, N-Acetyl-L-tryptophan binds to serotonin receptors in the brain, thereby stimulating them. This activation of serotonin receptors triggers the release of serotonin.
