It has been observed to exhibit inhibitory effects on glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3), an enzyme involved in multiple signaling pathways governing cell growth, differentiation, and survival. The inhibition of GSK-3 by N-[4-(2-amino-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)phenyl]benzamide is achieved through binding to its ATP-binding site, effectively impeding its phosphorylation and subsequent activation.
