QUICK LINKS

Myristoylcholine chloride is a cationic surfactant that has the ability to form a monolayer and can be utilized as an antimicrobial agent. It forms stable complexes with hydrophobic and non-polymeric fatty acids. Notably, this product has demonstrated both hemolytic activity and antibacterial properties against gram-positive bacteria, specifically Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus. However, it does not exhibit activity against gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
