Myosin IIIa Antibody (RR-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Myosin IIIa protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Myosin IIIa antibody (RR-8) is available as a non-conjugated format. Myosin IIIa, also known as MYO3A or DFNB30, is a 1,616 amino acid class III myosin that plays a crucial role in cellular motility and signaling. Myosin IIIa (RR-8) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein characterized by one protein kinase domain, one myosin head-like domain, and three IQ domains, which are essential for interaction with actin filaments. Myosin IIIa is predominantly expressed in the pancreas, cochlea, and retinal pigment cells, highlighting its importance in both auditory and visual functions. MYO3A′s kinase activity allows phosphorylation of various target proteins, thereby influencing multiple signaling pathways. Notably, mutations in the MYO3A gene are linked to non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal recessive type 30 (DFNB30), underscoring Myosin IIIa′s significance in sensory perception. Anti-Myosin IIIa antibody (RR-8) enables valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these critical biological processes.
