Mycobacterium tuberculosis RV3134 Dormancy Regulon Antibody (G1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the Mycobacterium tuberculosis RV3134 Dormancy Regulon protein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis origin by western blotting (WB). Mycobacterium tuberculosis RV3134 Dormancy Regulon (G1) antibody is available as a non-conjugated format. Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the leading cause of tuberculosis and ranks among the most dangerous human pathogens globally. This Gram-positive obligate anaerobe has a slow division rate, taking approximately 15 to 20 hours to replicate, and thrives exclusively within a host organism, allowing dormancy for extended periods without manifesting disease symptoms. RV3134 plays a crucial role in the dormancy regulon of M. tuberculosis, which is essential for survival under hostile conditions, such as low oxygen levels. Understanding RV3134 function is vital, as this knowledge may help elucidate the mechanisms by which M. tuberculosis adapts to environmental stressors, potentially leading to new therapeutic strategies against tuberculosis. RV3134 expression is regulated by various environmental signals, and RV3134 interaction with other proteins in the dormancy regulon, such as Rv2623, highlights the complex network of responses that M. tuberculosis employs to persist in a dormant state.
