SEE ALSO...

Mxi1 Antibody (MXI1C2a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Mxi1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Mxi1 antibody (MXI1C2a) is available as a non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying regulatory mechanisms of cell proliferation and differentiation. Mxi1 protein, also known as Mad 2, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation by acting as a transcriptional repressor through forming heterodimers with Max protein, essential for Myc oncogene function. Mxi1 (MXI1C2a) antibody recognizes nuclear-localized Mxi1, where transcriptional activity regulation influences cellular processes like growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Max stability, contrasting with short half-lives of Myc and Mxi1, allows for consistent regulatory framework, ensuring balance between proliferation and repression. Understanding Mxi1 dynamics and interactions helps elucidate pathways in cancer development and progression, making anti-Mxi1 antibody (MXI1C2a) valuable for research applications.

I am using Mxi1 (MXI1C2a): sc-130627 antibody for western blotting. I have tried several antibody dilution from 1:100 to 1:1000 ,RT 2 hours incubation or 4 ℃ overnight, but I still can only get multiband without target size.

I am using Mxi1 (MXI1C2a): sc-130627 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
