Multimerin-2 Antibody (H572) is a mouse monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Multimerin-2 protein of human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-Multimerin-2 antibody (H572) is available as a non-conjugated format. Multimerin-2, also known as Emilin-3 or EndoGlyx-1, plays a crucial role in the extracellular matrix, particularly in elastin-rich tissues such as blood vessels, skin, heart, and lung. Multimerin-2 belongs to the EMILIN family of proteins, characterized by the presence of an EMI domain, which is essential for maintaining the structural integrity of the extracellular matrix. Multimerin-2 is involved in the regulation of cell adhesion and migration, processes vital for tissue development and repair. During embryonic development, Multimerin-2 is expressed at critical sites of cartilage and bone formation, highlighting its importance in skeletal development. Multimerin-2 expression in the nervous plexus of the digestive tract and main bronchial branches during later stages of development underscores diverse roles in various physiological contexts. Multimerin-2′s interaction with other proteins in the extracellular matrix enhances functional significance, making anti-Multimerin-2 antibody (H572) a valuable tool for researchers studying developmental biology and tissue engineering.
