Mucin 1 Antibody (BC-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Mucin 1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Mucin 1 plays a crucial role in cell signaling and adhesion, acting as a protective barrier on epithelial surfaces and contributing to the maintenance of tissue integrity. Mucin 1 (BC-2) antibody is particularly significant in studying epithelial tumors, including breast carcinomas, where Mucin 1 can influence tumor progression and metastasis.
