SEE ALSO...

MtRPOL Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MtRPOL protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MtRPOL (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The mitochondrial RNA polymerase (MtRPOL) plays a crucial role in the transcription of mitochondrial DNA, which is essential for the proper functioning of mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell. Mitochondria are responsible for producing adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency of the cell, and any dysfunction in MtRPOL can lead to impaired energy production, contributing to a range of metabolic disorders and diseases. MtRPOL consists of 1,230 amino acids and exhibits significant homology with mitochondrial RNA polymerases from lower eukaryotes and RNA polymerases from various bacteriophages, highlighting its evolutionary conservation and importance in cellular energy metabolism. Understanding the function and regulation of MtRPOL is vital for elucidating the mechanisms underlying mitochondrial diseases and developing potential therapeutic strategies.
