Datasheets
  • mouse IgG lambda binding protein (m-IgGλ BP) conjugated to CruzFluor™ 790 (CFL 790)
  • supplied at 200 µg in 0.5 ml volume
  • CruzFluor™ 790 (CFL 790) is a near infrared fluorescent dye that is an excellent substitute for Alexa Fluor® 790, offering comparable photostability and the ability to resist protein quenching
  • Excitation of 786 nm, Emission of 811 nm
  • Suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) imaging systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey, Invitrogen/iBright and other comparable systems
  • Strongly recommended alternative to conventional anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies for Near-Infrared Western blotting (WB [NIR]), Immunofluorescence (IF) and Flow Cytometry (FCM)
  • Suitable for binding to most, but not all, mouse IgGλ light chain immunoglobulins; not suitable for use with mouse monoclonal IgGκ light chain antibodies
  • Highly specific reagent that provides strong signal with minimal background and virtually complete elimination of lot to lot variation associated with conventionally generated secondary antibodies
  • For mouse IgGκ immunoglobulins, comprising approximately 98% of mouse monoclonal antibodies we recommend m-IgGκ BP-CFL 790 (sc-516181)
  • For optimal results, use low fluorescence PVDF membranes, such as Immobilon®-FL PVDF, and UltraCruz® Blocking Reagent (sc-516214) for all blocking, primary antibody and mouse IgG binding protein incubations.
  • Mouse IgG binding proteins are recommended for some, but not all of our monoclonal antibodies. Product descriptions on our monoclonal antibody product pages will state if the Mouse IgG binding protein is the preferred detection reagent for that product.

Hi, Am still waiting to process my data before I write my review. Just to clarify this my idea, I used both the lambda and kappa of the m-IgG BP-CFL 790 together as secondary to detect my primary antibodies. Is that a problem in any way? My result was +

    Asked by: Chrisiyke
Thank you for your question. For two-color Western blots using primary antibodies with kappa or lambda light chains, primary antibodies and their corresponding secondary detection reagents may be incubated simultaneously. However, we would not recommend using kappa and lambda CFL 790 conjugates together, since these are the same color. Instead, we would recommend using our CFL 680 (green) and CFL 790 (red) together for two-color detection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great productI really liked being able to do a two-color western with the two monos. I used one kappa mono and one lambda mono. Clean, clear signal with no cross-reactivity. Really was a straight forward experiment!
