Datasheets
  • mouse IgG kappa binding protein (m-IgGκ BP) conjugated to CruzFluor™ 680 (CFL 680)
  • supplied at 200 µg in 0.5 ml volume
  • CruzFluor™ 680 (CFL 680) is a near infrared fluorescent dye that is an excellent substitute for Alexa Fluor® 680, offering comparable photostability and the ability to resist protein quenching
  • Excitation of 683 nm, Emission of 700 nm
  • Suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) imaging systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey, Invitrogen/iBright and other comparable systems
  • Strongly recommended alternative to conventional anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies for Near-Infrared Western blotting (WB [NIR]), Immunofluorescence (IF) and Flow Cytometry (FCM)
  • Suitable for binding to most, but not all, mouse IgGκ light chain immunoglobulins; not suitable for use with mouse monoclonal IgGλ light chain antibodies
  • Highly specific reagent that provides strong signal with minimal background and virtually complete elimination of lot to lot variation associated with conventionally generated secondary antibodies
  • For optimal results, use low fluorescence PVDF membranes, such as Immobilon®-FL PVDF, and UltraCruz® Blocking Reagent (sc-516214) for all blocking, primary antibody and mouse IgG binding protein incubations.
  • Mouse IgG binding proteins are recommended for some, but not all of our monoclonal antibodies. Product descriptions on our monoclonal antibody product pages will state if the Mouse IgG binding protein is the preferred detection reagent for that product.

QUICK LINKS

Mouse IgGκ light chain binding protein (m-IgGκ BP) conjugated to CruzFluor™ 680 (CFL 680) is a strongly recommended alternative to conventional goat/rabbit anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies for Western Blotting (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF) and Flow Cytometry (FCM) signal enhancement. Mouse IgGκ light chain binding protein is a highly specific reagent that provides strong signal with minimal background and virtually complete elimination of lot to lot variation associated with conventionally generated secondary antibodies. Mouse IgGκ light chain binding protein (m-IgGκ BP) is suitable for binding to mouse IgGκ light chain immunoglobulins, comprising a vast majority of mouse monoclonal primary antibodies; not suitable for use with mouse monoclonal IgGλ light chain primary antibodies. CruzFluor™ 680 is a near infrared fluorescent dye that is an excellent substitute for AlexFluor® 680, offering comparable photostability and the ability to resist protein quenching. Suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) imaging systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey, Invitrogen/iBright and other comparable systems.

I want to use this antibody.  First IP my sample with a mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody, run a wb with Santa Cruz primary antibodies. Will this antibody react to the IgG of the antibody used for the IP?

will the SC-516181 secondary antibody recognize SC-377218? If not what near infrared 790 should I use?

Asked by: Scott1
Thank you for your question. Yes, you could use our m-IgGκ BP-CFL 680: sc-516180 as a secondary antibody for detection of Trk B Antibody (F-1): sc-377218 which is a mouse monoclonal IgM (kappa light chain). This secondary antibody, m-IgGκ BP-CFL 680: sc-516180, is suitable for detection of both mouse IgG and mouse IgM with kappa light chains.

Does this secondary react with denatured mouse IgG light or heavy chains? Would like to use it in a Co-IP experiment. Thank you.

Asked by: zz1234
This mouse IgG binding protein (secondary) specifically binds to the kappa light chain of mouse IgG, whether it is denatured or not. It will not recognize mouse heavy chain IgG.

Is this reagent mouse specific, ie how much cross reactivity would I expect with rat and mouse as primary antibodies.

Asked by: curosity
Thank you for your question. We do not expect this mouse IgG binding protein to have any cross-reactivity with primary antibodies raised in rat, and will cover this by warranty.
