Morroniside is a naturally occurring compound sourced from the root bark of Morus alba, a species in the Moraceae family. It′s a proficient suppressor of inflammatory cytokines and has been discovered to exhibit antioxidant, anticancer, antiviral, and antibacterial activities. Moreover, morroniside has shown to have positive effects on the cardiovascular system and the central nervous system. It acts as a suppressor of inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6. Additionally, morroniside has been discovered to curtail the expression of pro-inflammatory enzymes like cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS).
