  • raised against adherent bone marrow cells of mouse origin
  • Monocytes Marker Antibody (ER-HR3) is recommended for detection of the majority of blood monocytes and a subset of mature resident macrophages (especially those located in hemopoietic organs) of mouse origin by IF, IHC(P) and FCM; non cross-reactive with other leukocytes
  • Anti-Monocytes Marker Antibody (ER-HR3) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for Monocytes Marker Antibody (ER-HR3). This work is in progress.

Monocytes Marker Antibody (ER-HR3) is a rat monoclonal IgG2c antibody that detects Monocytes Marker protein of mouse origin by immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Monocytes Marker (ER-HR3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Monocytes Marker protein plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in the identification and elimination of pathogens. Monocytes, which are derived from hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow, circulate in the bloodstream and migrate into tissues where they differentiate into macrophages. These cells are essential for phagocytosis, a process where they ingest and destroy foreign substances, utilizing intermediary proteins such as antibodies or complements that tag pathogens for destruction. Additionally, monocytes can directly bind to microbes through pattern-recognition receptors, enhancing their ability to respond to infections. The transition of monocytes into macrophages is vital for maintaining tissue homeostasis and initiating inflammatory responses, making Monocytes Marker protein an important target for studying immune system dynamics and related diseases, including atherosclerosis.

How can Monocytes Marker (ER-HR3): sc-52706 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-52706 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-52706 FITC).
